Italian Embassy in Mogadiscio

The design of the Italian Embassy in Somalia started with the survey report in Mogadiscio and proved to be a fascinating experience. In order to consider all the risks related to the site, our team evaluated the explosive load to consider in all the anti-blast calculations. The main challenge was designing the structure and the antimissile sacrifi-cial roofs. Furthermore, all the systems were designed to allow the complete autonomy of the embassy for a deter-mined number of days in case of an attack.
